Shout out to Dave and Raven, Joanne and Gabby, and Roxanne and Ruby for a meet and greet at PetSmart on Sat. October 24th. We talked to several PetSmart customers about Kindly Canines and what we do. The dogs were happy to be petted and greeted….I think they miss volunteering as much as we do!
Gabby, a Great Pyrenees was our gentle giant and was so laid back and sweet and I don’t think Raven’s tail stopped wagging all morning…..and who could forget Ruby in her Halloween costume? She had a little difficulty keeping her witches’ hat on but was a good sport about “Mom” dressing her up.
We handed out several brochures and Joanne spoke to one gentleman who said he had been looking for a therapy dog organization for his two-year-old dog to train and join.
All in all a great morning as we continue to get the awareness about KC out to the community while we wait to begin regular visits.
